Trim Effect Testing

Trim Effect is a skewing of an oscillator's frequency-vs-temperature performance as a function of control voltage.  All quartz crystal oscillators with frequency pulling are susceptible to this issue, as it stems from changes in capacitance caused by varactor adjustments in the feedback loop. These shifts can lead to system-level problems, making trim effect testing essential for compliance and reliability.

We will perform trim effect testing on virtually any oscillator over temperatures ranging from -60 C to +200 C.
